April 6, 2011 was a day that will remain in my memory always. That was the day my dear Guru Smt. Kalpakam Swaminathan passed on. Kalpakam teacher was the epitome of knowledge; she was dignity and grace personified. To me, she will always be a larger-than-life personality who led by example in everything she ever said and did. She was a source of strength at every phase and stage in my life, and I pray for her continued presence and seek her blessings.
The world lost a wonderful presence but I am sure she will live beyond centuries through her timeless art and music. May her soul rest in peace.
